Independence Day Baby!

This past Fourth of July was such a fun day as Daddy took the whole day off to spend the holiday with Ava and Mommy.  We all slept in and then got ready for the annual 4th of July parade in our neighborhood.  We sat with other families along the parade route and watched the many decorated cars and floats go by! Ava had a blast seeing all the sights and sounds. :)

IMG_4736 The parade was so fun to watch and afterwards, we walked to the park and played on the swings.  After our time outside, we were all sleepy and took a nap.  The heat does that to you, ya know?  We went to lunch that day at a wonderful family spot called Phil's Icehouse, which is cleverly located adjacent to Amy's Ice Cream so you know we had some delicious ice cream for dessert after our wonderful burgers!  I know Ava will love their ice cream one day, too!

That evening we went to a Fourth of July BBQ at the home of our friends, Bernard and Tiffany.  We should have had a light lunch because there was a BBQ feast that evening plus several desserts! Ava enjoyed all the new faces in the room and stayed up past her bedtime as she was having a good time that night.  Here is a pic with Ava and Miss Marina.
